SavvyPhone Wins “Coolest Tech” Award for SavvyCard at CoolTech2012

 

David Etheredge, CEO of SavvyPhone, receives the “Coolest Tech” Award at CoolTech2012 for the SavvyCard web publishing platform.

SavvyPhone, LLC was presented with the award for “Coolest Tech” at the Tampa Bay Tech Forum‘s CoolTech2012 trade show in Tampa, Florida this morning for the SavvyCard web publishing platform. Selected as the winner from a field of 50 exhibitors, the award was given to the company that had the most innovative tech solution and made best use of new and existing technologies.

“We are so honored and thrilled to be presented with this award,” stated David Etheredge, CEO of SavvyPhone, LLC and executive producer for the SavvyCard product. “There is a very vibrant, creative and active tech community here in Tampa, particularly in the start-up scene, and to be singled out as the “Coolest Tech” is simply humbling. We super appreciate all the hard work the entire Savvy team has done, the amazing support we’ve enjoyed from both the Tampa Bay Tech Forum and Tampa Bay Wave over the last year, and certainly the active and vocal user community that has embraced our product and given us so much great feedback.”

Judges included: Jeff Bridge, Vice President of Hyde Park Capital Partners; Barry Hubbard, Facility & Program Manager for the Computer Science Department at Hillsborough Community College; Wit Ostrenko, President & CEO of MOSI; Michael Pearce, System VP of Information Technology at the University of South Florida; Tracey Swartz, Assistant Director, Innovation & Incubator Program, USF CONNECT; and Joe Woodward, Director of Engineering at Brighthouse Networks.

Now in its 5th year, CoolTech is an annual high-tech industry trade show that attracts businesses and industry professionals from both the Tampa Bay Area and throughout Florida and is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Tech Forum. The Tampa Bay Tech Forum’s mission is to nurture and promote the Tampa Bay area’s technology “eco-system” through events, education, networking, advocacy, and philanthropy programs that bring together technology and business leaders, investors, government, researchers and educators.
