Ah, home at last. David Etheredge and I (David Morris) are both on the ground in Texas for a couple of days, running Lunch and Learn presentations in Austin and Houston. It’s a homecoming for both of us – we’re both born Texans, and we both went to the University of Texas. We’re glad to be back, even if it is strange to see how much Austin has changed.
But this is where a lot of things started for SavvyCard, in a cosmic sense. It’s where David got his feet wet in the game industry that would eventually propel him to Disney and Hasbro, where the idea of SavvyCard started to take shape. Austin is also where I got my first taste of the startup life, with the music website Audiogalaxy back in the first dotcom boom.
So, there’s a little reflecting on the past – but mostly we’re here to move into the future. We’ll be heading to Z’Tejas in a couple of hours to meet with a group who we’re hoping will help spread the SavvyCard gospel in the heart of Texas. (We’ll also be eating our share of delicious tacos). Then we’ll be heading to Seasons 52 in Houston on Friday to do the same thing.
SavvyCard’s goal as a company is to help our customers build stronger relationships and keep in better touch. We’re also aiming to do that as a company – keep an unprecedented level of access, even as we expand. In the coming months, we’ll be in cities around the country, and we’d love to connect with any and everyone who’s interested in learning more about our products, or about us as a company.
