SavvyCard CEO David Etheredge will be giving a speech to the Tampa Bay Business Owners at Shula’s Steakhouse in Tampa, from 11:30-1pm on Thursday, February 20th. David will be presenting and answering questions about the process of raising funds for SavvyCard. Topping off significant investment over the last three years of building SavvyCard, the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership recently made an investment in the company. So David he knows what he’s talking about.
As the first participant in the Tampa Bay Wave Incubator to receive funding, SavvyCard’s broad appeal and intelligent fundraising have made it one of the most successful startups in Tampa Bay. Thanks to our investors, we’ve been able to turn David’s great idea into something that’s now helping tens of thousands of people.
Future plans for the company see us getting involved with Florida Funders, a resource that will help pair entrepreneurs seeking capital with potential investors. The program will give a real kick in the pants to an already productive and busy community of startups in the Tampa Bay area, and SavvyCard will be one of the first three companies working with them.
If you’re part of our local startup community or even just a curious investor or business owner, you’ll want to see what David has to say. The event is open to the public, though there is a fee for those who are not members of Tampa Bay Business Owners, and lunch at Shula’s is $25.
